Mike’s road to being the front man of Monkey Wrench was the typical story – Boy dreams of being a lead singer in a rock band - boy joins the church choir - boy then gets involved with the wrong crowd in high school and gets coerced into doing bad things, like joining show choir - then boy is taught to dance and sing on cue like a organ grinding monkey - boy finds the allure of sequins; polyester and leather jazz shoes too much to bear and snaps – soon after, boy finds himself behind bars due to a vicious beating that ensued after someone asked for “more jazz hands” (To be fair, boy only beat the other person with a tambourine. Is that really considered a dangerous weapon?) – While out on good behavior, boy meets up with like-minded people who share with his affinity for loud music, Jack Daniels and the hatred of all show tunes…you know, the same old story.
